There is no doubt about Mr. Zdeněk Dvořák’s photography skills. There is no reason to emphasize that all weeks from Mr. Dvořák have something special that makes them unforgettable. But today, he is in Editor’s choice for a different reason. We appreciate that even though he captured so many weeks, he still keeps in mind the Week of Life guidelines. It is important to be aware of the main idea of this project. And Mr. Dvořák is very well aware of that. Week of Life is not just fun, it is above all a mission.

In recent days, it is as if someone had waved a magic wand and suddenly weeks from People’s Republic of China started multiplying. We understand that not all the weeks fulfill the Week of Life requirements, but we picked Mr. Sun’s week for the Editor’s choice none the less. His photos are magical and take us to places that are for most of us remote and very distant. We are talking about Lhasa, a traditional place in Tibet, where one can find one of the landmarks recognized as a UNESCO world heritage site, the Potala Palace.

There is not much left to add to Mr. kevin v. ton’s week. Almost everything has been said in your comments underneath his week. Take this as our appreciation of his sense for a documentary photography, which precisely fits into the concept of Week of Life. His photos drag us right into the middle of all the events and it allows us to become a part of it. The fact, that Mr. Kevin first captured his week on a film and he went through the process of scanning the photos afterwards only proves that we can welcome a new member of Week of Life family and many of us will impatiently wait for his next week.

Jan Frantisek Kassay is wild. Or at least his Week of Life seems like that. It is hard to say if it is because of the tasty food or because of people around him. Nevertheless it is clear that he takes his life with a sense of humor and he enjoys every single day. His week has a spark, it is dynamic and above all it is very well captured.

Maternity, the strongest bond that can form between two human beings. A proof of this is a week of Martina Kaderkova, because what would one call daily worries about little son, she titles an ordinary ceremony and she lets us to live through it at least through her 63 photos. She managed to capture overall balanced week full of peace and inner strength. Photos of her son watching a fish in a tank is simply perfect. To capture a kid and an animal in one moment isn’t the easiest thing.
