trip to Korea 1/2
Every one of us lives our own 'normal' life up until the time when something unexpected comes and changes everything. It is often a trip to abroad, business or private, that adds a little spice to the routine. We know everything at home, so when we get on that plane and end up on the other side of the world, we gladly accept the change. One of those who recently experienced such a traveler's shock is Jan Belej, who left the Czech Republic for a business trip to South Korea, a remote and extremely fascinating country. The week includes typical and familiar moments from Jan's life as well as preparations and the trip itself. As the name of the week suggests, there will be a sequel to this Korean week so we are eagerly anticipating what Jan will bring us next.
Kaspyho 57. týden - historie se opakuje
He is one of the few who finished documenting an entire year of life and belongs among the most gifted photographers who have stayed active in the Week of Life project. The man we speak of is Kamil Kasparek who after a full documented year has served us his week in a different manner. After taking more than 3000 photos, he decided to abandon color for a moment and presented his life in black and white - his week is named Kaspy's 57th week - history repeats itself. So, how did he fare with his black and white surprise? He proved to us that no matter if he uses color or not, he is a great photographer and his weeks are as good as ever.
Prostě týden
Every week is filled with color. Sometimes it seems overly grey, other times it is filled with all sorts of random colors. If we were to look back and analyze the submitted weeks to Week of Life, we would see that colorful weeks would dominate the statistics. However, black and white photography is a handful tool for documentary work. It filters out the unnecessary colored information and lets the observer focus on the content captured by the author. And this is the way David Sykora decided to capture his first week of life in this project. He named it 'Simply my week' and has shown quality and creative work, which has attracted not only us, but also the other users based on all the given comments.
konec září 2011
As of today, her account holds 17 weeks. She contributes in random intervals, but her images are always great and worth looking at. The person we are talking about is Dagmar Luhringova. Her weeks not only show her passion for animals, frequently seen in her latest week called End of September 2011, but also the passion for photography. She does beautiful stills, outside or in the studio, and once in a while, gets out for photographic trips with friends to explore the beauty of nature. Dagmar’s photos are a perfect example of how Fall is the most photogenic of all seasons.

Every one of our members who submits weeks has a different perspective on life. Some tend to be creative, others focus more on the documentary side. Viktor Sulc, a new member in the Week of Life projekt, evidently inclines to the second option. In his first set named simply 'First', Viktor decided to present his life in black and white form and gave us a clear signal that documentary photography is his desired style. In the descriptions under his week, he mentioned that he postponed photographing his first week of life until he buys a new camera. In retrosepct, he made a good decision in selecting the perfect camera for his documentary style. Look for yourself.
